Anastasia M. ‘Nettie’ Stasiak, age 96, of McHenry, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Crystal Pines Health Care Center, Crystal Lake.
She was born February 23, 1916 in Chicago to Julian and Anastasia (Jablonska) Wysocki. On September 16, 1939, she married Stanley Stasiak at Stanislaus-Kostka Church in Chicago.
A resident of McHenry since 1983, she was a seamstress from the age of 14 for the garment industry in Chicago until retiring at 62. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of several garden clubs in McHenry.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Ruth) Stasiak of Glenwood, Arkansas, Thomas (Virginia) Stasiak of Holiday Hills; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (the late Albert) Dobrzanski of Hillsboro, WI; and two brothers, Julian (Betty) Wysocki of Hilton Head, SC. and Bernard (Gloria) Winslow of Bensenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley on July 15, 1980; a son Patrick Stasiak; siblings Joey, Conrad and Margaret in infancy; and four sisters, Harriet Sienkiewicz, Gertrude Billings, Mary Sesko and Martha Kazmarski.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 8 -p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1401 N. Richmond Road, McHenry, IL.
Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
