B. Virginia Orr, age 90, of McHenry, died Wednesday March 31, 2010 at her home in McHenry.
She was born November 8, 1919 in Chicago to Frank and Gertrude (Malburg) Gross.
Formerly of Chicago, Virginia had been a resident of McHenry since 1969. She had worked at Citizen’s National Bank in Waukegan from 1957 until 1971. She then became a loan officer at the First National Bank in McHenry from 1972 until her retirement in 1985.
Virginia enjoyed traveling around the United States and to foreign countries, and she was an avid card game player.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Roar) Schaad of Bloomington, Pamela (Terry) Long of Woodland Park, CO.; four grandchildren, Kara (Jay) Pearlman, Erin (Kwesi) Hankins, Dana (Todd) Hoback, Kathryn (Wade) Wollermann; three great grandchildren, Jeremy and Caden Pearlman, Wynn Wollermann and a fourth due in late May; a sister, Helen (the late Eugene) Seaberg of Florida; and a brother, George “Jim” (the late Bunnie) Gross of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Orr on April 29, 1975; her parents; a sister, Bernice Mahoney; and a brother, Frank Gross.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 9, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary.
