Beverly Jean Fazio, age 75, of McHenry, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Crossroads Care Center in Woodstock.
She was born March 14, 1940 in Chicago to Victor and Gudrun (Petersen) Mickelsen. Beverly was raised in Chicago, where she met her future husband, Gene. They married in 1966 and moved to McHenry in 1968. After living in McHenry for 16 years, they moved permanently to their favorite vacation destination, Las Vegas, where they lived for 20 years. Following Gene’s death, Beverly relocated back to McHenry.
Employed as a bookkeeper for her entire career, Beverly worked at Hansen Marine for many years. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, reading, gardening and canning during her lifetime, and more recently, enjoyed doing puzzles. Her family will remember her as a happy and loving sister (who always enjoyed her coffee).
Survivors include her brother, Robert (Jean) Mickelsen of Wonder Lake, and two sisters, Barbara (the late Albert) Ciapponi of Sauk Village and Carol (Randy) Myatt of McHenry; and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Gene, on January 13, 2001.
The cremation rite was accorded privately.
Arrangements were entrusted to Justen’s Wonder Lake Funeral Home, 7611 Hancock Drive, Wonder Lake, IL 60097.
