Bryant Anthony Karels, age 5, of Round Lake Beach, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. He was born on December 6, 2016, in Libertyville, to Debra Karels. Bryant was the first born and oldest of three children and the best big brother to his siblings. He loved to play video games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Smash Brothers/Mario Brothers and Minecraft. He enjoyed coloring, projects and loved anything science related. He was so curious about the world around him and asked questions to get answers all the time. Bryant was described as smart, kind, loving, fun and an inquisitive little boy.
Bryant is survived by his loving and devoted mother: Debra; Adored grandmother: Kathy Berg; Cherished Uncles (aunts): Steven (Mackenzie) Berg, David (Christina) Berg; Treasured Aunts (Uncles): Jennifer (Fred) Lutz, Susan Berg; Revered Great-Uncles (Aunts): Gary Heinis, Bruce (Bridget) Bykowski, Wayne (Marlene) Bykowski), Admired Cousins: Emma Lutz, Paul Heinis, Lori (Robert) Withrow, Michael (Theresa) Bykowski, Chris (Darcy) Bykowski, Denise Bykowski, Bryan (Mindy) Bykowski, Matthew Bykowski, Madison Bykowski, Betty O’Neal, Quinn Bykowski, Brylie Bykowski, Emma Bykowski, and Lucy Bykowski; Special friends: Bill Kaminski, Nick Baldino and Oliver Navarro.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandpa “papa”: Scott Berg, Great- Uncle: James Bykowski, Great-Aunt: Karen Heinis, and Great-Grandmother: Leona Bykowski.
Service will be private and held at a later date.
