Buck O’Neal Jr. Age 55, of McHenry passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at his home.
He was born July 2, 1950 in Montezuma, Kansas to Carliss Buck and Gladys (nee Randles) O’Neal Sr. On August 8, 1991 he married Marilyn Bunge.
Buck spent the majority of his life growing up in Texas. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War. He was a self employed carpet installer for many years. He was a member in good standing of the Polish Legion of American Vets, Post 188, the Masonic Lodge #158, the Tebala Shrine of Rockford and was a past president of the Tebala Mini-Bikes.
A best friend remember’s Buck with these words, I know a man from Montezuma, Who would wine and dine to smooze ya, and if you needed help or to change your luck, you could always count on Buck.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn of 15 years; two sons, Landon and Brandon; a daughter, Amy; and two sisters, Connie (Eddie Kuba) Berry, of Scottsdale, AZ, and Carla Kennedy of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a baby twin brother.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2006, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry, IL. 60050.
A Masonic service will be held on Sunday, February 12, at 6 p.m.
