Carolyn (Carrie)Jean Bakotic, age 79 of McHenry, IL, passed away on May 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 15, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to George and Helen (Radovich) Toschak. She married the love of her life, Richard on April 20, 1963, in Naperville Il.

Above all Carrie loved her family and was very loved by her family.  Everyone looked forward to family holiday dinners not just to spend the day together, but knowing it would be one of the best meals of the year, she was an outstanding cook.  She was always finding new ways to express her creative side.  She created beautiful jewelry, she painted and crafted in multiple mediums.  She had a fabulous sense of humor, her smile and laugh will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her children; Bryan, and Cheryl (Greg), her grandchildren; Kelly (Rick) Thompson, Nicholas (Jessica) Prudhomme her great-grandchildren; Noah Thompson, Sadie Thompson and Kayleigh Prudhomme, her brother George (Pat) Toschak and her dearest friend, Carole McLean, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Toschak, her in-laws, Edward and Wanda Bakotic and her daughter Janine.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road. McHenry, IL from 4-7 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 pm.
