He was born February 27, 1938 in Freeport to Robert F. and Virginia Bratley.
For over 20 years, he was employed in the Maintenance Department at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. After moving to Libertyville, he was employed as a furniture refinisher for more than 20 years.
Enjoyments included collecting model cars and following the sports of baseball and basketball. Chuck will be remembered for his quick witted responses in conversations with people.
Survivors include his dear friend, Kay Fisher of Round Lake; a daughter, Michelle (Bruce) O’Brien of Streamwood; and a grandson, Matthew.
Services were private.
Arrangements were entrusted to Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake.
