Charles Wilson Overall Jr., age 74, of McCullom Lake, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Wauconda Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Wauconda.
He was born January 15, 1932, in Memphis, Tenn. To Charles Wilson Sr. and Irene (Dossett) Overall. On July 24, 1981 he married Alice R. Taylor in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Formerly from the Elgin area, Charles had resided in McCullom Lake for the past 25 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Philippines.
Charles worked as a manufacturing engineer for over 30 years. He was employed at Shake Proof in Elgin for 10 years, and for five years at Brake Parts in McHenry before retiring in 1994.
He enjoyed gardening and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Alice; five children, Terri (Lewis) Wilson of McKenzie, Tn., Tina Peterson of Rockford, Lisa (Russel) Slagle of Rockford, Vernon (Christine) Overall of Machesney Park, David Sykes of McHenry, Donald Sykes of Elgin; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were private for family.
