Christopher Stewart Hoak, age 43, of Richmond, died in the peace and dignity in which he lived on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center-Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 23, 1972 in Elmhurst to William S. and Jo A. (Weichmann) Hoak. On April 16, 2000, he married Julia Havemann in McHenry.
Christopher graduated from Woodstock High School with the Class of 1991, where he participated in basketball and track while in school. For over 20 years, he was employed in sales in the leisure and motorcycle industries.
He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in McHenry. Enjoyments included traveling, camping, and motorcycles, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Julia; three children, Grace, Shannon, and Christian; his parents; his mother-in-law, Loretta Havemann; a sister, Susan (Michael) Franczyk; a brother, Scott Hoak; two nieces, Emilie and Melissa; three nephews, Michael, Julian, and Tommy; a brother-in-law, Mark (Lori) Havemann and a sister-in-law, Sherry (Ed) Moore.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, 3717 W. Main Street, McHenry, IL 60050. Inurnment will be private.
