Clara Audrey Skittone, age 83, of Naples, FL and formerly of Arlington Heights, died December 12, 2013, at her home.
She was born February 13, 1930 in Chicago to Henry and Katherine (Altergott) Groh. She married Paul F. Skittone on October 3, 1954 in Chicago.
Formerly of Arlington Heights, she and her husband were residents of Naples FL for the past 25 years. Clara was a homemaker, and was an excellent seamstress and cook. In her younger years, she was a skilled bowler and set several records. She participated in league bowling at Elk Grove Village. She also was an avid golfer, a sport she enjoyed both with her husband as well as her friends. They were long-time members of Medinah Country Club.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Paul, of Naples, FL; three daughters, Dawn (Bill) Baumgartner of Bemidji, MN, Cheryl (Tony Miletti) Skittone of McHenry, and Jill (Joe) Palese of Lakemoor; two grandchildren, Tony and Billy Baumgartner; and a brother, Arthur (Delores) Groh of Crystal Lake.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Vinny Dunn and five sisters.
