Dale Frederick Geske, age 67, of McHenry, died Friday, January 27, 2012, at his home.
He was born April 18, 1944 in Elgin to Walter and Laura (Gambel) Geske.
Dale grew up in Crystal Lake, and graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School in 1963. He joined the U.S. Air Force in January of 1964, and was stationed in Germany for three years. He returned to the United States in 1967, and married Elizabeth Huber on July 15, 1967 in Crystal Lake.
He worked for Sun Electric from 1968 until 2001 as plant electrician.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth; a son, Daniel Geske of Maryville, TN; a daughter, Tammy (Frank) Merlo of McHenry; a grandson, Nicholas Wenzara of Alton, IL; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Wenzara of McHenry; a sister, Karen (Vernon) Roewer of Cary; two brothers-in-law, Michael (Penny) Huber of Arizona and Konrad Oker of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean Oker.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
The cremation rite will be accorded privately.
