Daniel James Friday, age 66, passed away at home on February 1st, 2022. Daniel was born on April 17th, 1955 to Francis and Shirley Friday in Chicago, IL. Daniel married the love of his life Holly Stieber Friday on September 8th, 1990 in Lake forest, IL. They lived happily married for 26 years until Holly lost her battle to breast cancer in 2017.

Daniel retired last year after working for over 25 years at the park district of highland park. Daniel was tremendously caring with those he loved, could make anyone laugh with his wit and sense of humor. Daniel was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Daniel’s family was the most important part of his life. In Daniel’s free time he enjoyed spending time with his children Kevin and Margaret, reading, gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his three Labrador Retrievers.

Daniel is survived by his children; Margaret Petrichos and Kevin Friday, his siblings Denise Friday, Kathleen Friday and Tim Friday.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father; Francis Friday, mother; Shirley Friday and his wife; Holly Friday.
