We always loved spending time with Dan when we would come to visit. He would ask us about our lives, our pets, and our family. He was a warm, funny, kind, genuine, and caring person who will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this time. Rest in peace, Dan.

Prayers that my cousin is at peace and no longer suffering. A truly good man taken way before his time , trying to take comfort in the fact that he is not alone. Maybe it really is true that o my the good die young. My thoughts, prayers and heart are with all the members of my family that feel this loss but especially with my Odarczenko family that had to endure this so close up. Xo

I was with Dan for 13 years of our lives, and for 7 of them I was his wife. For those years, I knew him as a man who loved his family and friends. Whether we had a little or a lot he wanted to share and I was part of the many cookouts and family gatherings. I choose not to remember the rough times now. I will remember Dan who was a good "daddy" to our three cats, who was uncle Dan to numerous kids in his and his friends' families, who loved to dance especially to our song, and who loved his Chicago sports. He stayed friends with me after our divorce and we helped each other out. I saw a picture online of him holding his baby great niece and he was wearing a chain which I recognized as the cross I gave him years ago, which means so much. He knew Jesus so I know he is in heaven with his mom, his uncle, and our Lucy cat, and I'm sure he's gotten to meet Walter Payton, and Ron Santo, and that he is happy now. He did not deserve to get sick the way he did but I am happy he is out of pain, smiling on us all. We will miss you here, Dan, and we will see you again!
