Danuta M. Niebuda, age 88, of McHenry, Illinois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home on July 11, 2020. She was born on December 10, 1931 to Jerzy and Janina Malowicz in Poland. She was united in marriage to Anthony Niebuda in 1962 who then both traveled to America and made Chicago, IL their proud new home. They moved to McHenry in 1974 for the fresh air and country landscape.
Known as “The Polish Marilyn Monroe”, Danuta was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, sewing, and cooking, especially her favorite pierogis. Everyone she met fell in love with her sweet personality and kind soul.
Danuta is survived by her daughters: Renata (Robert) Block and Anna Monson, and grandchildren: Ryan and Benjamin Monson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerzy and Janina, her brother, Marek Malowicz, and her husband, Anthony Niebuda.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in McHenry on July 23rd at 11am.
In accordance with public gathering restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a mask and observe social distancing.
