Delores “Candy” Horton, age 58, of Oklahoma City and formerly of McHenry, died peacefully, Thursday, October 1, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born June 11, 1957 in Woodstock, to Roscoe Jr. and Jeri (Coss) Bullock.
Candy was employed by Wal-Mart for 26 years. She had many friends and acquaintances. Close family friends, Desiree and Jim Grossmayer, and their two children Eric and Estea, have been essential in her life. Candy loved spending time with friends, family, and especially her grandchildren.
Candy is survived by her mother, Jeri Crandall; her daughter, Allison (Jon) Miller; her brothers, Robert (Pam) Crandall, Mark (Roxy) Crandall, Marty (Pattie) Crandall; her granddaughters, Kara, Kendall, Kandyce; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Candy was preceded in death by Harold Krecker, her father Roscoe Bullock, her step-father Glen Crandall, and her nephew Joshua Crandall.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Her family suggests memorials to Childrens Miracle Network or to the American Cancer Society.
