On Saturday December 4, 2021, Diane M. Conaghan of Mchenry, quietly passed away at 77 years young.
Born to Elmer and Virginia Tross on April 17th, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, where she was raised and rooted.
In August of 1965, Diane met the love of her life David, while they were both vacationing in Florida and their lives would never be the same.
At St Pascals Catholic Church on October 22, 1966, she married the boy from New York, where they then moved together and started a family of their own.
Four children, a family dog, and a decade later, they returned to Illinois where they built their dream home and settled in for the long haul in Mchenry.
In the fall of 1979 Diane began her career at District 15. She was admired and adored by everyone who crossed paths with her over all her committed years there until her retirement.
One of her favorite past times was to see and experience all life had to offer.
Her hard work was always met with an adventurous eye, to seek and show her children the world. The time spent learning and growing together was a tremendous reward.
To her, traveling was a joyous ride and if you can get in the car and drive there, you better believe that they did!
Diane was a strong woman of faith. A devoted loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Nothing gave her more joy then spending time with the ones she loved. Her family looked up to her and admired her so dearly, she really was the glue that brought everyone together.
Life will simply not be the same without her.
Diane is survived by her four children, Steven Conaghan, Linda Keith, Brian (Patricia) Conaghan, Douglas (Margaret) Conaghan; Grandchildren, Stephanie (Steven) Sewruk, Amber Keith, Sarah Conaghan and Eric Conaghan.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Virginia Tross and her beloved husband David Conaghan.
