Dolores P. Litka, age 81, of Johnsburg, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
She was born May 9, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph and Karoline (Rec) Wisinski. On May 30, 1947, she married Raymond Litka at All Saints Catholic Church in Chicago.
Formerly of Chicago, Dolores was a resident of the Whispering Hills subdivision since 1965. She was employed by Prem Magnetics in Johnsburg as an assembler for many years.
Dolores was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.
Enjoyments included gardening and taking trips to various casinos to play the slot machines. She was a talented cook.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Raymond; two children, Warren (Phyllis) Litka of Naples, Florida and Doreen (Leonard) Bell of Elgin; and three grandchildren, Anthony Litka, Lenny Bell, and Victoria Bell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin and Edmund; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Nellie Litka.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W.Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.
Visitation will resume at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with prayers said at 9:15 a.m. prior to leaving for the funeral Mass. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. John the Baptist Church, 2302 W.Church St., Johnsburg. with the Rev. Gerald Watt, C.R., officiating.
Interment will be in Windridge Cemetery, Cary, IL.
