Dear Muscolino Family: I read the notice of Donald A. Muscolino's passing in the Thursday issue of the Chicago Tribune, and wanted to pay my respects to the family. I served in the 108th. Combat Engineer Battalion of the Illinois National Guard with his brother, Len Muscolino from April 1958 to April 1964. I remember Len and his good friend and fellow Chicago police officer Jack Tournebene. While I have never met Don, I just wanted you to know that knowing Len, meant a great deal to me and he was always a gentleman and that trait, I am certain passed on to Don. It seems that Serving and Protecting was in the Muscolino family's blood. Our sincerest condolences,

Words cannot express the sadness of this news. The Muscolino family has been such a big part of our lives growing up in Chicago. To Phyllis, Julie, Robert and Pamela our heart hurts for all of your family. Knowing the loved ones you have lost, I can only imagine the reunion in heaven and how Donald was welcomed. You are all in our thoughts, prayers and in our hearts. Although the miles separate us our deepest sympathies are with you. Love from Kentucky - Bob and Patti
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
