Donna Jean Nasternak, age 76 of Island Lake, IL, passed away on April 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 30, 1945, in Chicago, IL, to Edward and Margaret (Tobis) King. She met her husband, Ronald Nasternak when she was 13 and he was 15 years of age, in grammar school where he took her to her grammar school graduation party and they became best friends who have been together ever since. They married on April 4, 1964, in Chicago, IL.

Donna was the caretaker of the family and all animals. She and Ronald traveled to Europe, the Galapagos Islands, Sanibel Island and Tahiti, where they swam with the fishes and fed them cheddar cheese. Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She was known for her huge heart, that was evident in her kindness and the way she cared for others.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald, her children; Margie (Ray) Ostrowski, Tom Nasternak, her grandchildren; Molly (justin) Glenn, Amanda Ostrowski, her great grandchildren; Ezekial Glenn, Nevaeh Ostrowski, a brother; James King and nephew Bobby Smith.

She was preceded in death by her sisters; Margaret Brons and Dorothy Tucker.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11-12:00 pm at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry, IL with a mass to follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
