Dorothy P. Zabler, age 85, of Delavan, Wisc., and formerly of Oak Park, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Rosewood Manor in Delavan, Wisconsin.
She was born December 5, 1920 in Chicago to Erwin and Erma (nee Purmann) Zabler. Formerly of Oak Park for 50 years, Dorothy was a resident of Rosewood Manor in Delavan since 1997. She was a nurse in a physician’s office for over 30 years, and then was secretary for the Oak Park City Government office.
Survivors include a sister, Carolyn Koepke of McHenry; a niece, Cheryl (John) Sandor of McFarland, WI; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son Dennis Hare; her parents; a sister, Margaret (the late Arthur) Nobis; a brother-in-law, Edward Koepke; and two nephews, Jim Koepke and Craig Nobis.
Graveside prayers and interment will be Tuesday, November 28, at Eden Memorial Cemetery, Schiller Park, IL.
