Douglas Harold “Doug” Worman, age 74, of Round Lake Park, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Alden Terrace of McHenry. Doug was born July 12, 1941 in Chetek, Wisconsin to Harold and Minnie (Otterholt) Worman. On May 7, 1976, he married Josephine M. Bono.
A resident of Round Lake Park for 40 years, Doug enjoyed a lifelong career as an engineer in the packaging plant industry. Prior to formal retirement, he was employed for many years by Complete Package Company of North Chicago. After retirement, he continued in private consulting as a troubleshooter for the packaging industry for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Josephine; four children, Stephanie Worman, Randy Bono, Martin (Mellissa) Worman, and Natalie (Lonnie) Walker; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Bono; and his brother, Robert.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Trinity Community Christian Church, 1190 Winchester Road, Libertyville. The 4:30 p.m. funeral service will immediately follow visitation. Interment will be at a later date at Otterholt Cemetery in Chetek, Wisconsin. His family suggests memorials to the Benevolence Fund at Trinity Community Church.
