Edward Alexander Todd, age 82, of McHenry, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, IL.
He was born in Chicago on January 29, 1926, to Edward and Edna (Saxon) Todd. He married Elaine Virginia Bradley on January 22, 1949.
Ed enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in 1943. He fought for his country as well as our freedom as a touret gunner on B-24’s flying missions out of Italy over Germany.
After the war, he became a union bricklayer. From 1953 through 1972, he was a sales manager for Dee Concrete Accessories, Inc. in Chicago and McHenry. In 1973, he founded JET Concrete Forming Accessories, Inc. of McHenry with his sons. He never retired and worked and lived with joy and enthusiasm until his passing at age 82.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Jordan of North Land O Lakes, Michigan, and John Edward Todd of McHenry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, and his son, Edward Karl Todd.
Services were private.
