Edward J. Klouda, age 90, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock.
He was born November 4, 1918 in Chicago to Anton and Tillie (Pethousek) Klouda. On February 6, 1943 he married Marie Votava in Chicago.
Formerly of Bull Valley, Edward became a resident of Valley Hi in 2007. He was employed in quality control for General Electric for 42 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII.
Edward was a member of The Church of Holy Apostles and the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 1502. He and his wife Marie loved to travel and took many trips to places all around the world.
He is survived by his wife Marie; four children, Mary Kay (Timothy) Lawrence of Crystal Lake, Jeanne (Stuart) Coleman of Billings, Montana, Edward (Christie) Klouda of Douglas, Wyoming, Paul (Susan) Klouda of Bull Valley; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and a sister, Tillie Benda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 2, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry, Il 60050
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2, at the Church of Holy Apostles.
Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery, Crystal Lake.
