Eleanor A. Wroblewski age 89 of McHenry, IL passed away on February 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on March 17, 1931 to Vincent & Helen (Cimaglio) Benatti. She married Theodore J. Wroblewski on July 5, 1958 in Chicago, IL.
“Eli” was a devoted mother to her 5 daughters and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and couldn’t pass up a good garage sale. She had a giving heart to those in need. She was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Church in Johnsburg for 58 years. Eleanor was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and the Pistakee Highlands Woman’s Club. She loved her house filled with family and got so much joy, especially from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her spunky personality and the sparkle in her eyes. In her final days of life, Eli repeatedly shared that her greatest accomplishment was raising her 5 daughters. She loved her life and her family greatly.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Patricia (Michael) Hollingsworth, Pam (Roy) Null, Paula (Jerry) Gozner, Gail (Alan) Kopp, Mary (Matt) Fluger, grandchildren, Kristin, Michael, Andrea, Stephanie, Kayli, Amanda, Andrew, Alanna, Elizabeth, Mitchell and Megan; great grandchildren Fred, Eliana, Esther, Grace and Macie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore, mother and father, sister Delores, brother Vincent Jr. along with many other close relatives.
Visitation will be at the Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church 2302 W. Church Street, Johnsburg, IL at 9:00 am on Monday, February 22, 2021 with burial at the church cemetery.
In accordance with public gathering restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a mask and observe social distancing. The funeral home staff will monitor capacity limits and allow up to 50 people in at a time.
