She was born on January 2, 1928, in Chicago, IL to David and Dora Friedrich. Her parents immigrated through Ellis Island, and Esther was the 1st generation. They summered in the area and became permanent residents 24 years ago.
Esther worked for a stock/investment company for 15 years before embarking on her journey as a hospital receptionist fort 7 years and she volunteered for 20 years at the hospital. She also volunteered for 40+ years at the Volo Bog where she started the gift shop. She loved the outdoors and taking care of her yard. She loved dogs and cats. She played golf until she turned 80 years of age. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McHenry, IL.
Esther is survived by her daughter; Kim Larson Wilken, Nephews; Jim Larsen, Mark Cox and Jim Biagi, as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Harry Larson, her parents; David and Dora Friedrich and siblings.
