Frank Polizzi Jr, age 97, of Crystal Lake, passed away on October 25 at JourneyCare Woodstock. He was born on January 13 to Frank and Maria (Purrazzo) Polizzi Sr. in Oglesby, IL. In 1963, he was united in marriage to Sandra Grabbert.
During WWII, Frank was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington State while serving his country. He was employed by Oak Industries for 53 years and retired in 1991 as general production manager. In his leisure time, Frank enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening, and was a “dude” at Guest Ranches of Colorado and Wyoming for 19 years.
Above all else, Frank will be forever remembered for his infectious smile and love of good conversation.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Polizzi, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Friday, November 2, 2018, with a celebration of life from 9:30am to 10:30 with a mass following at the Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd, McHenry, IL 60050.
