Genevieve E. Hough, age 84, of Schaumburg and previously of Wauconda, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Friendship Nursing Home in Schaumburg.
She was born February 14, 1929 in Cicero to Thomas and Elizabeth (Coleman) Panton.
A resident of Wauconda for over 30 years, Genevieve attended St. Mary’s Church of Fremont Center. She was a very caring, loving mother and doting grandmother. A wonderful person and kind friend with a great sense of humor. She lived her life caring for others and always had a beautiful smile, to share with anyone she encountered.
Survivors include her seven children, Donna (Rick) Guyon of Bartlett, George (Sue) Hough of Hoffman Estates, Tom Hough of Island Lake, Eileen Barnes of Richmond, Dan (Kim) Hough of Houston, TX, Mary (David) Kimes of Wauconda, Colleen (Ray) Rummel of Elk Grove; 19 grandchildren who adored her; 11 loving great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Dick Baumhart.
She was preceded in death by the love of her live, her husband, Donald G. Hough, in 1987; a daughter in infancy; her parents; two sisters, Rita and Joanne; and a brother, Tom Panton.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. on April 26, 2013 at Messiah Church, 25225 W. Ivanhoe Road, Wauconda, IL.
