My husband, Tom, and I took our first beginning round dance lessons from George and Joyce in the Shepherd-of-the-Hills church in McHenry probably 4 decades ago. It was the beginning of a wonderful adventure for us. We learned not only the correct steps to beautiful music with wonderful choreography, often what they had choreographed, but George was also firm about posture and styling. We thrived! Round dancing for us continued to be a joy and one of our favorite activities right up until COVID began shutting everything down in early 2020. The activity over all those years brought our marriage closer together, gave us healthy weight bearing exercise, and established deep friendships that continue to this day. I lost my sweet dance partner to cancer just 4 months ago, and one of the things that I miss most with his passing away is the joy of round dancing together with him. I am forever grateful for the wonderful gift that George and Joyce gave us, dancing together in each others' arms... a lifetime of good memories and good friendships. Sherry Masters (and for Tom, too)

So sorry to hear of George's passing. I am a nurse who took care of him in the hospital in the 80s . I can't remember what I did but I was instrumental in saving his life at that time. He thanked me many times at dances. My husband and I took dance lessons with him and Joyce for many years. Glad you had him the extra years to spend with the family. Sandra Addison
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Im sorry to know that my very good friend George has passed. I have known George for about 30 years. He taught me how to round dance and, along the way, we took many trips to Hawaii with him and Joyce. Many other trips and cruises topped off the wonderful relationship I had with George and George. After Joyce passed, I tried to visit George as often as I could. We would go get a drink and a hamburger and talk about all the good times we had. Im going to miss him, but I know that he is reunited with Joyce now and that will make him extremely happy.. He missed her so much. I could go on and on about my relationship with George, but will just keep all those good times in my mind as wonderful memories.

We are so sorry to see that George has passed on. So happy to know he is reunited with Joyce, his love of life that he has missed for a while. George and Joyce taught Don and I how to round dance with the ballroom styling that they were so famous for. We enjoyed many happy evenings with them both and enjoyed their personalities. You could tell as you watched round dancing which students had been taught by George and Joyce. Rest in peace George, happy dancing in the heavens. The Zamastil's
