Irene Matilda Mueller, age 100, a longtime resident of McHenry, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
She was born March 14, 1913 in Chicago to John and Matilda (Bolda) Bolding. On May 26, 1935, she married Clarence Mueller in Virgil, Illinois.
Formerly of Chicago, Irene was a resident of McHenry since 1958. Three years ago, she moved to live with her daughter in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
While living in Chicago, she was employed at Dexter Press, a book bindery company. After moving to McHenry, she was employed as an assembler by Oak Industries for over 10 years.
Irene was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry, as well as the Ladies Guild and the Mother’s Club at the church.
Survivors include four children, Phyllis (Henry) Both of Reedsburg, Gerald (Carolyn) Mueller of Downers Grove, Patricia (Alan) Wojtach of Twin Lakes, and Robert (Kathy) Mueller of Palm Harbor, FL; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence, in 1979; two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry. Visitation will resume on Thursday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until leaving in procession at 9:30 a.m. for the
10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, McHenry.
Interment will be in St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery, McHenry.
