Bob and Karen Leake left a message on July 23, 2021:
Jim was the best. A great friend and neighbor. He would do anything to help someone and he had no equal as a fisherman. One of the many days we spent fishing together, we caught so many Bluegills that we stopped putting bait on the hooks and just kept pulling them in using nothing but empty hooks. We spent a lot of time working in our yards and gardens, helping each other whenever needed. Our garden sheds were our second homes and our "break times" were filled with laughter. Even though Karen and I moved several years ago, we never lost sight of how fine a family that Jim, Joni, and Kristi are. I can't imagine a heaven without Jim Fisher being there. I sure hope I get another chance to hear him say, "Hey, Bob, let's go fishing."
Vern and Ruth Paddock left a message on July 17, 2021:
Jim, you were a great friend and neighbor. I enjoyed our many times we shared at the "bench of wisdom" during the spring, summer and fall months after a long day of working in the yard. We never solved any problems but we truly expressed our feelings about life especially about our childhood. Ruth and I enjoyed sharing our veggies with you and Joni. You were dedicated to your bees and your honey was top quality. There is now a big void in my life when I'm in my back yard. I don't see you any more to talk to. I miss the roar of your lawnmower every day when you would go back and check on your garden and bees. Ruth and I are truly missing your friendship. Thank you for being a great neighbor.
