My wife Nannette and I have know Jim and family for many years. Just approaching Jim or having him approach you, you would begin to smile, because you knew that your day was about to get better. We'll miss Jim, but comfort in fact that we were privileged to be able to call him "our friend" ! Gregg & Nanette Kuretski

I was lucky enough to teach Mr. Fornwall's beautiful granddaughter Grace when she was in first grade. For years after, I had the pleasure of seeing James when he volunteered at Harrison or attended other school events. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. We had some great conversations and laughs and I know he will be missed greatly by his family and friends. For those of you dealing with the loss of this wonderful man and begin the healing process, hold on to your incredible memories, close your eyes to see envision his smile and open your ears to hear his laugh -- those will always be with you in your mind and heart. You are in my thoughts during this time of sadness.

I had Harrison, Grandpa Jim’s, grandson in 2nd grade. Grandpa Jim came to read with the kids on a weekly basis. He was truly like a grandpa to all of the kids he read to as well as a positive role model to them all. The kids absolutely loved him. He was even like a grandpa to me. He was such a caring man and truly loved and cared for those around him. He will truly be missed by many. Thank you Grandpa Jim for all the little lives you have touched in more ways than you will ever know. Much love to family.

Grandpa Jim was near and dear to my heart and the hearts of my children. An avid fan of his grandchildren from sports to academics. I loved sitting in the stands cheering on our Harrison and McHenry teams with Grandpa Jim. He not only supported his grandchildren but my children and others as well. My heart breaks for his entire family. He'll be missed by so many!
