Jeremy Alonzo, age 40 of McHenry Illinois passed away on Saturday January 1, 2022. He was born in Woodstock, Illinois to John and Diana (Kulisek) Alonzo on January 17, 1981.
Jeremy will always be remembered as a kind soul, the type of person to give the shirt off his back. He had strong family values and loved doing anything and everything with his children. He enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with his loved ones.
Jeremy overcame adversity all his life. He lost both kidneys at age thirteen and was given the gift of life from his brothers donated kidney. In 2018 Jeremy was diagnosed with Bone Cancer but again beat the odds and his cancer went into remission. He never lost his hope and kept working through every obstacle that was thrown his way.
Jeremy is survived by his four children, Danielle, Carly, Jeremy Jr., and Donovan; and his former spouse Lori Alonzo; his parents John and Diana (Kulisek) Alonzo; his two brothers, John (Gabriela) Alonzo, and Josh (Dannielle) Alonzo, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and other cherished loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Eileen Kulisek and Grandmother Henrietta Alonzo.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation, in Jeremy’s name. Donations can be made here: www.kidney.org.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
