JoAnn Hopkins, 67, of McHenry, IL, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2022.  JoAnn was the most generous, thoughtful and fair person to everyone.  She was the life of the party who most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Her hobbies included attending concerts/plays/movies as well as boating and skiing.

Although JoAnn did not have any children, she did have 2 German Shepard’s (Riley and Sadie) and a cat named Peter Rabbit who she loved dearly and she also had a very special bond with each of her nieces Renee (Mark) Walker, Morgan Mizner, Kelsey (Mike) Harris and nephews (Stephen Hopkins, Joe Rubicuski, Melissa Marema, Rich (Kate) Hopkins) as well as great niece Kaitlyn Walker and great nephews (Matthew Walker, Will and Henry Hopkins).

JoAnn’s greatest dislike was for peas but her passionate love affair was with anything chocolate, especially Portillo’s cake. She was preceded by her parents, Joseph and Marietta Hopkins. She is survived by her sister, June Rubicuski and two brothers, Greg (Debbie) Hopkins and Steve (Roxanne) Hopkins.
