JoAnne Mui-Hajduk, age 42, of Lake In The Hills, died Monday, January 28, 2008, surrounded by her family, after a long illness from ovarian cancer.
She was born January 22, 1966 in Hong Kong, China to Ling H. Mui and Lui Mei (Chan) Mui. On May 20, 2000, she married Richard Hajduk in Niles.
She was a devoted wife, loving daughter and sister, and giving friend. She loved children and was an excellent teacher and a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her loving husband, Richard Hajduk of Lake In The Hills, her parents, Ling H. and Lui Mei (Chan) Mui of Chicago; three sisters, Sharon Mui of Chicago, Lena Conway of Naperville, Suzanne (Max) Mui-Good of Sleepy Hollow; three brothers, Richard Mui of Chicago, Charles Mui of Gilberts, Donald Mui of San Francisco; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Hajduk of Chicago; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret (Tom) Jacher of Westmont, Michael (Debora Reid) Hajduk of Hoffman Estates, Col. James (Carol) Hajduk of Stafford, Virginia and currently serving in Iraq, and Edward A. (Peggy) Hajduk of Diamond, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Edward J. Hajduk on April 25, 2000; and her grandparents.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3201 Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. (Phone 847-398-7122).
The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at church.
Interment will be private.
