John Rebellato, age 57, of Round Lake Beach, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
He was born November 30, 1949 in Chicago to Giovanni and Lucia (Bizzotto) Rebellato. John was a resident of Round Lake Beach for over 33 years.
He was employed by Baxter for 36 years, working at the Round Lake campus at the time of his death. He was a doting grandfather, and also enjoyed the game of golf. Other hobbies included being a collector of trains, golf balls, and die-cast toys. His family often saw him buy collectibles in quantities of 7, one for himself and one for each of his grandchildren.
Survivors include two children, John (Tracy) Rebellato of Trevor, Wisconsin, and Tina Robinson of Salem, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Katie, Marina, Sophia, Giovanni, Brianne, and Marisa; two brothers, Tony Rebellato of Brookfield, IL, and Danny Rebellato of Chicago; a sister, Rosemary (Brian) Sudie of Chicago; his mother, Lucia Rebellato of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a son, Michael, on March 4, 1980.
A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2007, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Ct. (at Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake, IL 60073.
Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until prayers at 9:30 a.m, followed by procession to St. Joseph Church in Round Lake for celebration of the 10 a.m. funeral Mass.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Friends may meet the family at 1 p.m. at the cemetery interment chapel.
