For me growing up as a child and a young person, Auntie Josie was part of the center of family life that for us seemed to revolve around the Harding Street neighborhood when we would come to visit. Lots of Talking, all at once, some of which I couldn’t understand, but it sounded interesting. And Food (I think we learned about family with endless food carrying the stories)! She was one of the people that could light up a room with warmth, kindness, and liveliness. Most of the family and community moved North, we ended up far West, but she and Auntie Mary and the rest of the family were always in our warmest thoughts. We are sending our prayers and deep sympathy to Stephen and the rest of the family. Paul, Isabelle, Genevieve, Thomas, and Adam Opryszek

Josephine and I were the closest of friends. I thought of her as a sister. My children called her Auntie JoJo. She was the most generous and loving person I have ever met in my life. Her love for people and animals was immeasurable. I can’t believe I’ve lost someone so special. I’m going to miss her terribly. Annette Konstantelos Starr

Josephine was such a special person to my daughter Cyndy Royer and her family. She treated my grandsons as her grandsons, and the Royer family and myself will miss her sweet smile and kindness.

Josephine was a dear and special peson, who loved the Lord and until her death sought spiritual direction in order to continue to grow in Holiness and knowledge of the God. I was privileged to be her Spiritual Director for ll years. Her generous spirit and thoughtful ways came naturally. She will be greatly missed. Now Josephine has returned to her creator, and has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant". She never lost sight of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
