Juanita May Keith, of McHenry, died peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
She was born August 28, 1926 in Chicago to Henry and Elizabeth (Ditto) Reuse. She graduated from South Shore High School in 1944.
A Wonder Lake resident for 40 years, Juanita was employed as a checker for 30 years at Jewel Osco.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling and quilting. She was a member of the Wonder Lake Womens Club, Country Quilters of McHenry County and belonged to two card clubs, playing canasta for 50 years and also pinochle.
Juanita will be missed by her four children, Craig (Kathy) Keith of Bethel, CT, Cathleen (Richard) Zarring of Sycamore, Cynthia Keith of McHenry, and Colleen (Eamonn) Donnelly of Mokena; eight grandchildren, Tracy (Brian) Welch, John (Elizabeth) Zarring, Connie (Shawn) Kane, Kimberly (Shawn) Hughes, Linda Donnelly, Kelly (Derek) Byrne, Kevin Donnelly and Edward Donnelly; twelve great grandchildren, Michael Welch, MelissaWelch, Alex Welch, Adam Kane, Ava Kane, Megan Zarring, Benjamin Zarring, Aidan Byrne, Erin Byrne, Autumn Hughes, Aaron Hughes and Mya McPhillips; two great-great grandchildren, Gavin and Gage Welch; two brothers, Clarence (Sonny) Bowman and William Bowman; three sisters, Shirley Niedel, Lucinda Wieczorek, Caroline Lewis; and her card playing friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Frye; and her former husband Charles N. Keith.
Juanita graciously donated her body to science. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 11 a.m. until the noon service on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
