Karen Joan Wisniewski, age 62, of Lake Villa, Illinois, passed away on March 16, 2020, at her home.
She was born on November 20, 1957 to Kenneth and Joan (Ratychek) Wisniewski in Chicago. Karen grew up in Niles, and graduated from Maine East High School with the Class of 1975.
A great person and a hard worker, Karen was loved by everyone who knew her and had a genuine love for life. She always knew how to listen and the right things to say when people needed her. Karen taught her kids how to love unconditionally and to accept the things that cannot be changed and how to trust in people. She instilled in her children the value of family and how important it is to keep them close.
Karen is survived by four daughters Cristie (Hien) Volpert, Jessica (Scott) Volpert, Kim Wisniewski, Rebecca (Jason) Cavanaugh; her son, Bradley Volpert; and her four grandchildren, Quintin, Brooklyn, and Andrew Cavanaugh and Trinity Wisniewski, who lovingly called her “Yaya”.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Wisniewski; her mother Joan (Ratychek) Wisniewski, and her sister, Karla (Wisniewski) Kully.
Arrangements were entrusted to Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. The cremation rite was accorded privately.
