Kathleen A. Hintz, age 51, of Johnsburg, died suddenly Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Centegra Hospital-McHenry.
She was born April 21, 1960 in Des Plaines to Paul J. and Ida Loretta (Guzzo) Henderson. On December 5, 1981, she married William H. Hintz at St. Alphonsus Church in Wheeling.
A resident of Johnsburg for over 20 years, Kathleen was a former resident of Prospect Heights. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Lankford Construction in Johnsburg for the past 8 years. Previously, she was a teacher’s aide for Pre-school through 1st grade at Ringwood School. She treasured working with children, and even after leaving Ringwood School, she always had a special place in her heart for the kids.
Kathleen’s greatest love was her family, and she will be deeply missed. A giving and thoughtful person, she always put others before herself. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed the companionship of the family’s three dogs, Oscar, Molly, and Daisy. Other enjoyments included sewing, antique shopping, collecting Amish prints, and traveling to art shows.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Bill; a son, Adam (Amanda Cowie & Kaelyn) Hintz of Palatine; two daughters, Sara Hintz and Katie Hintz, both of Johnsburg; her father, Paul Henderson of McHenry; two sisters, Paula (Dennis) Bleatman of Hoffman Estates, and Carol (Bill) Mildenstein of Fort Atkinson, WI; and a brother, Tom (JoAnne) Henderson of Lindenhurst.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
