Kathleen Ginger Duddleston, age 59, of Wonder Lake, IL passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born in Woodstock, Il. to Melvin and Ruth Erckfritz on November 9, 1962. Kathy met and married the love of her life Bernard Duddleston on May 8^th, 1993 and they were happily married for 28 years. Kathy had a contagious smile, was a great cook and baker, she loved to bake and was always in charge of baking birthday cakes or special occasion cakes cookies and cupcakes for her friends and family.  Kathy also loved to travel, and her favorite place was the Florida Keys where she thought about retiring to. Kathy was often called the Coupon Queen as she loved to shop and was always sharing the good deals she got. Kathy was described as an outgoing, caring, loving woman that was always there to take care of family members and friends when they were sick and in need, but her greatest joy came from making memories with family and loved ones to cherish for a lifetime.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Bernard; Mother Ruth Erckfritz step children: Tracy (Garon) Albrech and Dan Duddleston; siblings: Joanne (Steve) Heck and Dan (Heather) Erckfritz ; grandchildren: Ryan, Kai, Chloe, Patrick as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews all of which brought great joy to her life.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father: Melvin Erckfritz; sister: Laura Mortimer and nephew; Christopher Erckfritz.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The service will follow at 1 p.m.

All attendees are recommended to wear a face covering but not required.
