Kenneth P. Brennan, age 68, of Poplar Grove and formerly of Ringwood, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his home.
He was born January 16, 1943 in Spring Grove to Charles and Dolores (Blackmon) Brennan.
Ken was raised in Ringwood. He was employed with Dana Manufacturing in McHenry for 15 years, he also worked at T.H. Food Inc. in Loves Park. He then moved to Lindsay, Wisconsin where he became the proprietor of the Country Oasis Tavern for 10 years. In 1999 he moved to Poplar Grove, Illinois to be closer to his family.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include two children, Wayne (Dora) Brennan of Waukegan, Wendy (Richard) Moore of Twin Lakes, WI.; three grandchildren, Brandy, Nalleli, Brittany; and five sisters, Edna (Edward) Kennedy, Donna (Jerry) Klatt, Karen (Chris) Ruppel, Dorothy (the late Robert) Wright, Martha (Raymond) Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Clarence.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 29, at the funeral home.
