Linda Lee Mullin, age 69, of Round Lake Beach, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center. She was born November 23, 1948 in Chicago to William and Gladys (Steinfath) Elwert. On April 12, 1969, she married John Mullin at Trinity Lutheran Church of Long Lake.
Linda was an LPN for nearly 40 years. She absolutely loved her career, and knew she had a calling for helping the elderly. Linda was obsessed with Disney World, the characters and movies, collecting pins, scrapbooking her vacations and cruises which she took at least once a year. On Friday, Linda’s coworkers at The Cottages of Fox Lake, formerly Paradise Park, dressed in Disney attire to recognize and celebrate her life.
Linda had a great love for her family, and always made time to go to lunches and a show with her friends. She was a loving mother, doting grandmother, and a terrific friend, who will forever remain in their hearts.
Linda leaves behind two daughters, Sheri (Charles) Buijk, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Rapp; four grandchildren, Connor Buijk, Kaitlyn, Devin, and Dylan Rapp; her cousin, Kathy Rechisky; Robert Wojnarowski, who was just like a son to her; her very spoiled Yorkie, “Nanabelle”; her nieces and nephews; and many wonderful and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, John, on November 19, 2011. She is finally back in her loving husband’s arms in their Disney Castle in the sky, together forever.
