Lois was my mothers best friend growing up. Our family has so many memories going to Wonder Lake and spending time with Mr. and Mrs. Mathews. The one memory I have that sticks out is what an incredible woman Mrs. Mathews was to my mom. My mom didn't have money for college but she had the brains! My mother was up for a scholarship. She was second to Mrs. Mathews. Knowing my mother would not be able to afford college, Lois gave up the scholarship. It went to my mother instead. Mrs. Mathews was such a kind woman. you will be missed.
