Louis G. Di Salvo, age 82, of Lakemoor, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born February 27, 1930 in Chicago to Frank and Mary (Cosco) Di Salvo. On August 27, 1988 he married Bonnie M. Montgomery in Woodale.
Formerly of Antioch, Louis had lived in Lakemoor for the past two years. He was proprietor of L & L Glass Company for 50 years. He enjoyed boating on the Chain O’ Lakes. He was a food critic and loved fine dining. Louis was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Volo.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Bonnie; children, Richard Di Salvo, Sherry (Jason) Wilk, Timothy (Joann) Perkins, Kenneth (Lacey) Perkins; fifteen grandchildren, Angela, Andrea, Ricky, Emily, Lauren, Sela, Timmy, Kenny, Kayla, Alexa, Melissa, Nicole, Melanie, Peter, Richard Jr.; nine great great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (the late Mae) Di Salvo and Frank Di Salvo; and a sister, Shirley (the late John) Leski.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Linda Raffin.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at the funeral home.
The Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church, in Volo.
