Malcolm Roy Lister, age 64, of McHenry, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
He was born June 28, 1946 in Willenhall, England to Harold and Agnes (Townes) Lister.
Roy had been a resident of McHenry for the past 20 years. He had been employed at Yaskawa Motoman Inc. in Dayton, Ohio for over 10 years traveling throughout the United States. He had a degree as an electrician and was a certified welder.
He was a skilled woodcrafter and enjoyed tinkering and repairing things. He was a civil war historian and loved to watch the fisherman at his favorite spot on the Fox River, the McHenry Dam.
Survivors include his wife Eileen V. Lister of McHenry; four children, Louise Sargeant of England, Sarah Wood of England, Geri Lister of Bloomington, Roy Lister of Germany; a step-daughter, Selina Windras of England; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
There will be a funeral service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
