Marilyn J. Ring, age 80, of Lake Villa, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, at Westmoreland Nursing Center in Lake Forest.
She was born July 5, 1935 in Milwaukee to Ralph and Ruth (Drossart) Orth. Prior to retirement, Marilyn was a mail carrier in Lake Villa. She was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening and flowers, crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Marilyn is survived by three children, Patricia Ring, Karen (Keith) Lippoldt, and Gerald (Dawn) Ring; eight grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Milewski, Derick Anhalt, Tara (James) Grieger, Kirk (Jessica) Ogryzek, Crystal (Jared) Kueker, Dana (Brandon) Hayek, Kara (David) Ester, and Kailey Lippoldt; and four great-grandchildren, Riley, Caelyn, Callen, and Corbyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, on August 7, 2001, and her sister, Patricia Flohr.
Friends may visit with her family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. The memorial service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in St. Bede’s Cemetery, Ingleside.
