Mary Ann Sindler, age 77, of McHenry, IL, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 7, 2022. She was born on April 16, 1944, in Chicago, IL, to Thomas and Anna (Pedretti) Smialek. She met and married her loving husband, Robert Sindler on August 12, 1972.

Mary Ann was an amazing soul who fiercely loved her family. She was interested in reading, gardening, and mystery thrillers. She was a hard worker but settled into retirement nicely. She spent that time traveling with her husband and family. Her favorite location being Myrtle Beach,SC. Mary Ann was a special person who made everyone around her smile. She had a wittiness to her that was unparalleled and was truly the strong matriarch of the family. She will be dearly missed by many. Mary Ann’s favorite charity was St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. In lieu of flowers a donation would honor her memory.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband; Robert, her children; Ann Marie (Jay) McLaughlin, Andrew (Elizabeth) Sindler, her grandchildren; Leanne Novy, Jackson (Mari Kate) McLaughlin, Jacob McLaughlin,Sophia McLaughlin, Annabella Sindler, Andrew Jr. Sindler, Grayson Sindler, Kaden Sindler and her sister Sandra Burns.

She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Smialek and a brother in infancy, Anthony Smialek.

Visitation will be held at the Justen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL, on Sunday, April 10 from 1pm – 4pm. In an effort to keep all attendees safe, face coverings are recommended.
