Matthew Bruce Steinburg, age 41, of Round Lake, died suddenly Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Centegra Hospital – McHenry.
He was born November 12, 1970 in Waukegan to Paul W. and Sandra M. (Sands) Steinburg. On February 25, 1995, he married Rosa M. Rodriquez in Juarez, Mexico.
At the time of his death, he was employed as a machinist by V.S. Industries of Wheeling for 20 years. He formerly worked for R. & J. Frisby Manufacturing Co. of Elk Grove.
A model train collector, he also enjoyed music and playing the drums. His children were his pride and joy. Everyone loved Matt, and he will be remembered for being a master with DIY (do-it-yourself) projects, and also a great joker.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rosa; two children, Samantha and Amanda; his parents of Round Lake; four brothers, Randy (Stephanie) Steinburg and Mark (Maggie) Steinburg, both of Portage, IN, Scott Steinburg of Round Lake, and Brian of Loves Park; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 11, at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service.
Inurnment will be private.
