Merle Douglas Pride, age 53, of Johnsburg, died Sunday, October 7, 2007.
He was born November 23, 1953 in Libertyville to Louis and Dorothy (Reilly) Pride. On July 6, 1974 he married Denise E. Pradelski.
Merle had been a resident of Johnsburg since 1974. He was a painter and did remodeling the majority of his life.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he enjoyed motorcycling, camping, and trail riding on his 4-wheeler.
Survivors include his wife Denise of 33 years; two daughters, Patricia Pride of Genoa City, WI., Lisa Pride of Johnsburg; three brothers, Donald Pride of Mt. Prospect, Richard Pride of Arizona, Gerald Pride of Johnsburg; two sisters, May Garland of Indianapolis, Fay Balch of Indianapolis; a brother-in-law Robert (Cheryl) Pradelski of Cary; two nieces, Julia and Jody; and a nephew, Jeff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Eugene Pride.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry.
The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at the funeral home. The Rev. Schlultz will officiate.
