Michael E. Cline Jr., age 16, of McHenry, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, in Fox Lake following an automobile accident.
He was born June 19, 1989 in Elk Grove Village to Michael E. Sr. and Cynthia S. (Windels) Cline. He attended school in Fox Lake, and was currently a sophomore at Grant High School.
A student of the Taekwondo Academy in McHenry for over six years, he personified the principles and tenets taught at the school. He always stood ready to assist anyone in need by using the skills he had mastered. He taught with patience and caring.
He enjoyed go-karts as a hobby, and also repaired them when the need arose. Those who knew him also recall his sense of adventure, easygoing personality, soft-spoken and respectful manner, and integrity. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to help, showing his patience and caring spirit.
He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Cline of Fox Lake; Michael E. Cline Sr. of McHenry; a sister, Ali Cline of McHenry; his grandparents, Gerhard and Diana Windels of Weaverville, North Carolina;and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elma “Sandy” Windels, and by his grandfather, Kenneth Cline.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm Street, McHenry.
The funeral service and interment will be private for the family only.
